Hello everyone. On behalf of the National Mortgage News editorial team and everyone at Horizon I wanna welcome you and thank you for joining us at Digital Mortgage 2022. Zoom's great and all but there's nothing quite like being able to connect in person and make those face to face connections. Had those chats just yesterday as I was checking into the hotel it took me a moment. I realized I was standing right behind my colleague Michael Moser and I hadn't ever met him in person. I was so used to seeing him over Zoom with this beautiful photo of the Swiss Alps in his background always. So, without his alpine setting I didn't recognize him at first. But anyway all of this to just say that I really look forward to connecting with all of you in person over the next few days. We know that in the mortgage space the unusual conditions of the past two years have led to an accelerated adoption of technologies but we aren't all the way there. And, of course as as we have accelerated certainly customer expectations have accelerated as well. And you'll hear from the research later today that customers really expect all of their transactions to be as easy as ordering food deliveries. So, transparent lightning fast accessible whenever they want. And as we come down from the boom of the last two years it's more important than ever to differentiate from the competition by offering that seamless experience that ease of use by leveraging data also to anticipate the needs of your clients before they themselves are even aware of what they need next. So, with all that in mind we've put a fabulous program together that explores all of this and more. I'm also really looking forward to hearing our keynote speakers. Duncan Wordle unfortunately fell ill and couldn't be with us here today but Dennis Snow a former executive from Disney has gly stepped up and will take his place today. And, tomorrow we'll welcome Ryan Holiday international bestselling author of The Daily Stoic. So, we've got a jam packed morning for you. And before we start the proceedings I just wanna thank our advisory board and also in particular want to thank Julian Hebron of the Basis Point who has really contributed so much to this event. Thank you Julian. And so without further ado I would like to introduce Ice Mortgage Vice President of Product Marketing, Eric Kujala. And I'm sorry if I butchered that.
Eric Kujala (
Thanks a lot. Great thanks A lot everybody for joining us is gonna be great. So, what an exciting time to be back live in person in Las Vegas for Digital Mortgage. Last time I was up here was three years ago in 2019 so it's always good to be back here. But before we kick off I just wanna say thank you. A big thanks to National Mortgage News and obviously Source Media on behalf of ICE and ICE Mortgage Technology for not only just hosting this wonderful show but also giving us opportunities day in and day out to allow us as technologists and lenders and so on to showcase our our innovations our advancements in the industry but more importantly the ability to collaborate as an industry to solve problems as they come up. As, we all know this industry loves to throw changes in curve balls at us. It's good for good for venues like this to allow us to actually exercise what we've done in the marketplace to solve those problems. So, very thi big thanks for Source Media and National Mortgage News on behalf of ICE and ICE Mortgage Technology. So I'm excited to talk about the panel today or introduce you guys to 'em in a minute. Is the goal excuse me the vision of home ownership very much alive or has it been on hold just because of the different economic conditions we're in today? Well we at Ice Mortgage Technology feel that it's very much alive and we're doubling down and making investments to make sure that it stays alive and so on. So, as we all know or many of you may know I should say Ice mortgage technology kind of started this journey to automate the everything automatable which started back in 1997. Obviously back then it was known as Ellie Mae. A lot of transitions since then. But the cornerstone the foundation of that journey to automate automatable still is in the forefront of what we do every single day today. Everything we put out every customer interaction we do it's very much in the forefront to continue that journey to automate everything automatable. But, there's a key component that we're trying to or excuse me that we feel is extremely important in that journey in itself. And that key component is around a single word connection. And, if you look at it what we mean by that is how do we connect ice mortgage technology solutions to the vast partner partner network service provider network consultants and so on. How do we connect those those parties together? How do we then connect the ice mortgage technology solutions to that vast partner ecosystem right? To the lender community whether you're a retail lender wholesale lender correspondent aggregator GSE and the like how do we connect the solutions that we provide to the partner network that supports it that ultimately drives into lender community which then ultimately starts to connect into that let's call it the settlement and servicing world via me and simplify as well. So, as you start to put these pieces together right connecting the ice mortgage technology solutions along with the vast partner ecosystem that's out there to support all of it along with the lender community right? And then ultimately into that settlement and servicing world with mes and simplify and so on how does all of that come together to fuel some of the topics that these guys are gonna talk about here in a second which is pursuing the dream of home ownership here in the America right? So, that's something that we has holds hold true. If I can speak today hold true very much in everything that we do and everything we put out every single day. So I'm very excited to bring up the panelists here to actually talk about this vision of a one stop shop home ownership. And I wanna bring up a really good friend of mine who's gonna introduce the panel today. as many of you guys know the founder of the Basis Point Julian Hebron and the panelist he's gonna do a quick introduction for everybody. So bring him on out.
