In his role heading up the default business, Hilzendeger, a 25-year Wells Fargo veteran, oversaw the teams dedicated to helping prevent and resolve delinquencies. His responsibilities also included collections, single point of contact, underwriting, short sales, mediations and community relations. Under his leadership, the company also created the Mobile Response Unit, an in-field, rapid-response approach that served homeowners struggling to recover from natural disasters.
Before running the default business, Hilzendeger oversaw home preservation efforts, plus he held positions in real estate collection and real estate fulfillment.
