RES.NET has added a new feature to its buyer portal application, allowing prospective homeowners the opportunity to search for properties that have not been advertised on the multiple listing service.
The prelist functionality allows agents and brokers to label bank-owned, short sale, and resale properties as prelisted homes, giving borrowers and investors the chance to view them before being officially listed on the open market.
Using the Lake Forest, Calif.-based provider’s platform, the homebuyer can contact agents to begin the purchasing process earlier than accustomed to.
Each prelist property listing provides the standard characteristics of a home including amenities, a map, and contact information for the agent/buyer’s agent. Also, potential property tenants can submit an offer on a home directly through the buyer portal.
