Nationstar Mortgage Holdings plans to open a new customer contact center in Longview, Texas, a city of 81,000 situated about 130 miles east of Dallas where it is headquartered.
Nationstar plans to employ 600 workers at the call center, according to a news release Wednesday from the Longview Economic Development Corp.
"We selected this location because of the city's dedication to this project and our opportunity to hire from the community's excellent pool of talent," said Mike Rawls, Nationstar's executive vice president of servicing, in the release.
Nationstar is expected to contribute $248 million in payroll, benefits and capital investment over the next decade through the new facility, Longview Economic Development Corp. President and Chief Executive Wayne Mansfield noted in the release.
The center is expected to open in late 2016 or early 2017, and a job fair is planned in September for hiring at the facility.
