Ginnie Mae has hired Nancy Corsiglia as its chief operating officer.
In the role, Corsiglia will administer Ginnie Mae's mortgage-backed securities and real estate mortgage investment conduit programs, the government agency said Monday. She will also manage Ginnie Mae's counterparty relationships, budget and legislative initiatives, and overall risk management.
Corsiglia replaces Mary Kinney, who retired from the role in February. She will report to Ginnie Mae President Ted Tozer.
"We are thrilled to have someone with [Corsiglia's] extensive secondary mortgage market knowledge join the team at Ginnie Mae," Tozer said in a news release, adding that she "will play an important role in moving Ginnie Mae forward as the industry continues its transformation following the housing crisis."
Corsiglia comes to Ginnie Mae from Devonshire Advisory Group, where she served as managing director. She also previously held a variety of positions including chief financial officer at Farmer Mac.
