Former federal housing commissioner Brian Montgomery is one of three new nominees to the Radian Group’s board of directors.
Montgomery is currently chairman of the Collingswood Group LLC, Washington. He is a former Bush administration official who was in charge of the Federal Housing Administration from June 2005 and July 2009.
Radian is one of the top-ranked MIs in the nation as measured by new policies written. In 4Q it wrote $6.5 billion of new policies, a 73% improvement year over year.
The other Radian nominees include Gaetano Muzio, the co-founder of Ocean Gate Capital Management LP, and Gregory V. Serio, formerly the superintendent of insurance for New York State and currently a partner in Park Strategies LLC.
The three men need to be approved by Radian stockholders at the company's annual meeting on May 30. They will replace James Jennings, Robert Richards and Anthony Schweiger, who are not seeking reelection.
