The region of Manchester-Nashua, New Hampshire, is the metro area where homes sell the fastest according to data from Premier Online Marketing, with homes having a median of 23 days on the market and an average listing price of $550,000.
Other top metro areas include Midland, Michigan; Rockford, Illinois and Fremont, Ohio, all with homes having a median of 25 days on the market.
Premier Online Marketing compiled this list by extracting August's 'for sale' inventory data from Realtor.com, which covers 939 U.S. cities. The study analyzed the median listing days on the market for each metropolitan area included. Time spent on the market is defined as the period between a property's initial listing and its closing date or the date it is taken off the market. The data also included the median listing price for each location. The final ranking was determined based on cities with over 1,000 listings.
