For millennials, the home buying process comes laden with challenges.
However, the generation stepped into the prime ages for buying and started families of their own — the main impetus for seeking a house.
"While millennials are often stereotyped as adolescents, the reality is that this generation is well into adulthood — with most between their early 20s and mid-30s," Tendayi Kapfidze, chief economist at LendingTree, said in a press release. "This means that many of them are actively pursuing careers, having children and buying homes."

LendingTree derived the data by analyzing mortgage requests and offers for borrowers between Jan. 1, 2018 and Nov. 25, 2018. The cities are ranked by the percentage of total purchase mortgage requests received by LendingTree from borrowers in the millennial generation.
