The Mortgage Bankers Association has added educational material to its website to help consumers buy a home.
The MBA's site now includes advice on how to prepare for buying a home and financing it, how consumers can evaluate their own credit, how to find a mortgage, how the closing process works and how to plan for unexpected developments.
"The home-buying process continues to change, and MBA remains committed to helping consumers understand the various elements that go into purchasing a home," David Stevens, chief executive, said in a news release.
"MBA realizes how overwhelming it can be, so we have created five fact sheets to help consumers navigate the home-buying process," he said.
