Gateway Mortgage Group in Tulsa, Okla., has partnered with National Homebuyers Fund to create a grant and down payment assistance program.
The NHF Sapphire program provides a non-repayable grant, which can total up to 5% of a home's total value, to homebuyers. Gateway is one of five lenders offering the program.
The grant will be available in all of Gateway's markets except Texas and Oklahoma; the lender covers more than 35 states. To qualify for the program, a borrower does not need to be a first-time buyer, but must have a FICO score of more than 620.
There is also no sales price limit for homes bought through the program.
