CoreLogic has made its mark on the Case-Shiller Home Price indices — in more ways than one.
The index, which was officially known as the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, will now be known as the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices. The change is effective immediately.
The rebranding reflects CoreLogic's role as the data provider for the indices, David Blitzer, S&P Dow Jones Indices managing director and index committee chairman, said in a news release Wednesday.
Following the change, CoreLogic is anticipating an expanded relationship with S&P Dow Jones Indices, Olumide Soroye, CoreLogic's managing director, also said in the release.
"Today's announcement reflects the essential role CoreLogic plays in powering global, industry-currency real estate indexes," Soroye said. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with S&P Dow Jones Indices and continuing to develop data-driven solutions that power smart decision-making within the housing market."
