A $20 billion package of residential mortgage servicing rights being offered by Bank of America has yet to trade even though the bidding ended about two weeks ago, according to investment bankers familiar with the deal.
B of A declined to comment. Its broker on the deal is believed to be Phoenix Capital, Denver, a firm that has a policy of not talking to the press.
One investor said the portfolio had traded, though no public announcement was made. He did not know who the winning bidder was.
Firms that have been actively reviewing legacy MSR packages include Ocwen Financial, Green Tree Servicing, and Nationstar, among others.
B of A is in the market almost monthly selling legacy MSRs.
